"We're all trying to make a big difference, not realizing the small difference we make for each other every day." ~ Daphne Rose Kingma

Volunteers are such a huge bonus to our school. If you would like to help please contact our school office at 425.431.7470. We will be happy to work with you on getting you placed in the perfect spot. We do require that all of our volunteers go through a background check. Please click on the following links to download the volunteer forms:

Emergency Card

Washington State Patrol Form

Volunteer Disclosure Form

Once you have completed the forms you can drop them off to our school office. Please call us at 425-431-7470 if you have any questions.

We request all volunteers to please take a moment to review the district harassment, intimidation and bullying policy. Click here  to review.

We are always thankful of the time that our volunteers spend here. Thank you for considering to help out at Westgate.

The last few years Westgate has offered the WATCH DOGS Dad program. WATCH DOGS is set-up to have dads, grandpas, uncles and other father figures volunteer at least once a year in the school. During the day, WatchDOGS may work with students in the classroom, play at recess, eat lunch with students, patrol the school entrances and hallways, assist with traffic flow and any other assigned activities where they actively engaged with not only their own students, but other students as well.

How do you become a WATCH DOG?

1. Complete the volunteer forms (see above links to download forms).

2. Drop forms off at our school office.

3. Complete a WATCH DOG schedule sticker located in our front office. Nancy or Sari can help show you where these are located.

4. Place sticker on the WATCH DOG calendar located on the short hallway wall between the office and library.

5. Mark Nicholson will schedule the WATCH DOG day for the volunteer.

6. WATCH DOG Dad shows up around 8:15 AM on the scheduled day and collects his schedule from the office. Mark Nicholson or office staff will walk volunteer through his schedule.

Have more questions? You can either visit the WATCH DOGS website at http://www.fathers.com/watchdogs/watch-dogs-faqs/  or contact Mark Nicholson at 425.431.3756.
